What is the Mixed Match Challenge? Well here's what the WWE's Mixed Match Challenge Facebook Page says it is:
A new in-ring competition show featuring 24 of the most athletic and charismatic male and female Superstars from the brands of Raw and SmackDown. This show, entitled WWE Mixed Match Challenge, will feature a mixed tag team match every week with one team from Raw and one team from SmackDown LIVE competing over 12 weeks to establish a winner. Each showdown in the competition will follow traditional Mixed Tag Team Match rules: When tagged, male Superstars face off with the opposing team’s male competitor and female Superstars battle fellow female competitors. This interactive and innovative Facebook experience will take viewers both in the ring and behind-the-scenes every day of the week until elimination, offering an in-depth look at all the competitors, and more.The WWE Universe will get to vote on the final male superstar for RAW and SDLive. They will also vote on matchups and match stipulations. The winner will get $100,000 for a charity of their choice and brand supremacy!

Originally when this was announced a few weeks ago they said that this would be interactive and we meaning the WWE universe would have a say in the tag teams but...that was not true. I was thinking we could vote for the teams via the WWE app or something but they never set it up or maybe I was hearing things. Either way, if this is being advertised as an interactive experience for the fans than I believe we should've picked the tag teams.
Correction: There are certain aspects of this challenge that the WWE Universe can vote on. The final team pairings, match stipulations, and more.
But the GM's paired the teams and here are some of the pairings for now:

Honestly, I LOVE this pairing. Sasha and Finn are workhorses. They perform beautifully in the ring and I can just about imagine what they can do together as a team. This is going to be EPIC!

I'm under the impression that because of this "romance" with Enzo Amore that originally he was supposed to be her partner. Despite her campaigning for Braun Strowman to be her partner which would've been absolutely DOMINATING! BTW KURT ANGLE! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? LIKE DID YOU EVEN CONSIDER THE EPIC DOMINATION YOU WOULD'VE GOT OUT OF THIS PAIRING? HELLO, THAT WAS PRIME TELEVISION AND DAMN NEAR A GUARANTEE WIN! THOSE TWO ON THE SAME DAMN TEAM, COME ON SON! You should've read her twitter when it was announced. She went OFF. Then Titus Worldwide got thrown in and Nia was not amused! Anyway, this is... Listen I'm gonna be honest. I'm not here for it. I don't care about this team and I hate the fact that Nia got thrown with Apollo. No shade to Apollo but he's boring and unless he's gonna be high flying and REALLY showing off I'm good!

They are married Lana has some work to do in the ring and I expect they will work each other seamlessly. Hopefully, Lana will improve and make things happen. We shall see...

Honestly, I was absolutely shocked that this pairing happened I was expecting Alexa to be teamed with The Miz. But given the fact that the only people on the list worthy of a pairing are Finn, The Miz, and Braun it kind of made sense (really it could've gone either way but I would've preferred seeing her with the Miz). She also could've made a great partner for Samoa Joe if the WWE Universe chooses him for the Mixed Match Challenge. Goldust and Apollo Crews just don't do it. Anywho with Braun running the ship, I can see them being a dominating team.

Another husband and wife team I love and have been waiting to see them in action with each other. Noami and Jimmy are a wrestling fans dream. They are beyond skilled on the mic, they have some serious swag and well they can outperform and outwork any team on this roster. I would love to see Sasha and Finn vs Noami and Jimmy OMG that would be epic!

I actually loved this pairing. Anybody with a pair of eyes can see Bobby Roode is definitely channeling Ric Flair and a little Triple H with his persona. And Charlotte Flair can be even more vicious and destructive than her father was in his heyday. She definitely came by it honestly. I love Bobby Roode he's so charismatic and rugged but polished at the same time? They are both 2 of my favorite wrestlers of the current era. I think pairing these two together with just the costumes period would make this...GLORIOUS! I couldn't help myself.

Now with the final folks on this roster here are my prediction pairings:
Bayley & The Miz
Despite Bayley hugging folks all the time, I think spending some time with the Miz will give her some insight. He's a vet and you have to admit he's an amazing WWE Superstar. This will be good for Bayley.
Asuka & Samoa Joe or Elias
When I say these two pairings would DEFINITELY be dangerous and dominating. Elias is a quiet monster and Samoa Joe he's in your face and brash! I think putting Asuka with either of these guys is a definite problem for the SDLive crew!
Alicia Foxx & Goldust
No disrespect to Alicia or Goldust but Crazy and Strange work. I think they would work well together and maybe Alicia can expand her wrestling arsenal. No shade, I'm just saying.
Shinsuke Nakamura & Becky Lynch
I am living for this team. At first, I thought about Sami Zayn. They seem like two sides of the coin but I think Becky would work better with Shinsuke. He's amazing in the ring and I think they will work well together. Strong style and the Lasskicker I love it!
Natalya & Sami Zayn or Kofi Kingston
Listen when you've got wrestling royalty in the ring you pair them with someone who can definitely match their in-ring capabilities. Sami and Natalya are going to be great together. If no to Sami than Kofi of New Day will work. Nattie is mat wrestler, Kofi is high flying with both them on opposite sides of the coin they have a chance at competing on every level.
Carmella and Kofi Kingston or Big E
Although Carmella is limited she is athletic and acrobatic (she reminds me a lot of Mortal Kombat's Sonya Blade). She needs a partner to pick up where she can't. Big E brings the power needed to provide sufficient work in the ring. Kofi is a combination of a high flyer and basic wrestler. He can compliment and take over when its time. He's one of those guys who can be put in a situation where it looks dire but shines through despite obstacle. Don't believe me go watch some old Royal Rumble matches and you'll see what I mean.
