Tuesday evening it was reported that Jey Uso was arrested and charged with a DWI in Hidalgo, Texas. This was before the Tuesday night broadcast of Smackdown Live which he did participate in.
Joshua Fatu (aka Jey) was pulled over for a 1 am traffic violation. The officer observed and noticed signs of intoxication. The wrestler was then administered a field sobriety test. It was determined he was under the influence. He was then arrested and booked. No mentions of a breathalyzer test being administered.
WWE is aware and released a statement via PW Insider Mike Johnson:
"Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials."
Hopefully, this will blow over and not cause any issues with the Usos. They are the flagship of the show. Honestly on many nights, they should've closed the show with their matches. They have carried Smackdown Live along with New Day. It would be a shame to see all that hard work go up in smoke because of Jey making one bad decision. Right now his wrestling career hangs in the balance. It's a shame! Y'all wrestlers have a lot of pressure but you gotta keep it together. Find something to occupy your time besides alcohol. Read a book, call the fam, chill and get into some Netflix shows or something.
