WWE: Smackdown Live Tuesday RECAP!

I am so sorry for my absence. Its been a rough couple of weeks. I just haven't had the time to complete any blogs. I've watched most of the shows up until now so I'm caught up and ready to recap. LEGGO!

2 Weeks Ago on Smackdown Live...

DANIEL BRYAN ANNOUNCED HE WAS FINALLY CLEARED TO WRESTLE AGAIN. HE ADDRESSED THE WWE UNIVERSE AND DECLARED HE WOULD RETURN.

The focal point of the show last week was Daniel Bryan. There were matches throughout the night. But he was definitely the highlight of the evening.

Jinder Mahal Randy Orton & Bobby Roode

Honestly, I don't remember much about this. I know one of them had a match with Jinder and he beat them. I think it was Randy who he was wrestling. I'm bored with this 3-way rivalry. Honestly, Jinder was unnecessary. Bobby Roode and Randy can hold a feud on their own. I think Jinder should've been left out of the equation. Either way, I expect him to be the next US champ.

Carmella's 2nd Attempt at Cashing In #FAIL

Once again Carmella tried to cash in on Charlotte. But she couldn't even pull it off. Ref never rang the bang for it to be an official match. She ended up being taken out a few minutes from entering the ring. Natalya capitalized on the distraction and picked up the win. I'm starting to believe all these faux cash-ins are done on purpose to distract and disorient Charlotte. Frankly, Charlotte and Natalya's match was the best match of the night. It was fun to watch. However, it was cheapened by one of the weakest female superstars in WWE to date.

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

After attacking the Commissioner of SDLive. They showed up to the show towards the end. They were praised for their in-ring work. And Daniel even admitted to being lax on them and living vicariously through them despite their attitudes and despicable actions. But he could not ignore their more recent actions against Shane McMahon. After they received a match at WrestleMania and Shane decided to leave they still attacked him.

Daniel (and so was I) was confused about their actions. Despite Shane focusing on them ultimately they got what they wanted. A chance to perform on the grandest stage of them all and no more "Mr. McMahon". But my guess is that was enough. Because of their reprehensible actions, Daniel had no choice but to fire the duo. Well, this did not go over well with Zayn and Owens. Their livelihood had just been stripped from them in front of the whole world. Well, both men went ballistic. Savagely attacking Daniel Bryan.

He fought back and got the drop on them. But ultimately the numbers game was too much for him. Assault ended with a pop-up powerbomb on the edge of the apron.

Last Week on Smackdown Live...

I have to be honest here. Smackdown Live was boring this week. And it really had nothing to do with Kevin and Sami. You went from the bombshell news of Daniel Bryan returning to action to a match announcement and thats it?! REALLY? Had you given Nakamura and Styles a TRUE FUCKING STORYLINE MAYBE THE SHOW WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SO DAMN BLAND! It was just blah. It was boring. Even Daniel Bryan issuing his challenge to Sami and Kevin was just eh. Saw that ish coming. It was just...not worth watching.

Bobby Roode vs Rusev
Winner: Rusev
As a result of his win over Roode, he was added to the Match for the United States Championship

Becky Lynch vs Ruby Riott
WINNER: BECKY LYNCH

Bludgeon Bros vs New Day
WINNER: DQ THE USOS INTERFERED

Dolph Ziggler vs Tyler Breeze
WINNER: DOLPH ZIGGLER

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Shelton Benjamin
WINNER: NAKAMURA

The GM Issues a Challenge to KO & Zayn

Daniel Bryan came out and made it clear was not feeling the General Manager role. He's not a company guy in that sense. He is just itching to get back in the ring. So after the events of last week. Daniel gave Shane his just due. Saying he was right about Sami and Kevin all along (Uh yah you were too busying living out your dreams through them to see it). He made it clear that he wanted revenge and he issued a challenge to the howling Barney Rubble and the skipping Kazoo. Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan will team up against Zayn and Owens. If Owens and Zayn win they'll get their jobs back. If they lose they will remain fired.

The only way I see this working with Kevin and Zayn staying fired is if they get hired on RAW and start working the RAW shows. I hate that they are still using them as a catalyst to play up drama. Sami could be on to bigger and better things. And Kevin could be having a real rivalry with Daniel or anyone else right now. But no they stuck with the defiant I can do what I want employee angle.

Charlotte was Out

Many outlets including the WWE reported Charlotte was out due to a dental issue. There are other rumors but it doesn't matter. The dragged on without her, unfortunately.

Rusev was added to the United States Championship Match

I'm actually ok with this. I like Rusev. Face or Heel he seems to be a cool dude. He plays his role well and you gotta respect that. I would've preferred if Jinder would go take a back seat and let Rusev get the shine for a while. He deserves it. Jinder has had his run as the "face" I guess you can say. And it was lackluster, to say the least. Jinder just isn't good on the mic and he's boring. Rusev has the momentum number one selling merchandise for the last couple of months. He's just a better villain than Jinder. Jinder tries to sell it and be menacing but he doesn't pull it off well. Rusev is great at that.

The Miz threw Shade Last Week as Twitter Erupted over Daniel's Announcement Last Week

Now if you ask me THATS THE DAMN MATCH THAT NEEDS TO BE BOOKED! I WANT TO SEE THE MIZ VS DANIEL BRYAN. DANIEL BRYAN DESERVES TO GET THE MIZ IN HIS CLUTCHES. After everything, he did to Daniel as GM of Smackdown Live (stealing his signature moves, calling him a coward, saying he was glad he wasn't wrestling again). After all that taunting and disrespect he finally can exact his revenge and I would start by costing him the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania. But that's just me.

This Week on SDLive

Smackdown Live was eh. This week but I'll recap and make it simple.

Daniel Bryan addressed the crowd and his partner at Wrestlemania made his return. They admitted their wrongs in dealing with Kevin and Sami. Truth be told they both contributed to the monster that is Kevin and Sami (more so Daniel than Shane). However, they apologized to each other and buried the hatchet. Even hugged it out.

Matches

Women's Division: Natalya vs Charlotte
Winner: Charlotte

As always a good matchup. But once again Ms. Money in the Bank tried and failed to cash in on Charlotte. After her Asuka came out to have one final showdown with the champ and it was...cute. Who will win at Wrestlemania? We all know Asuka is going to win and clinch her first championship in the WWE on the main roster!

Men's Division: Jinder Mahal vs Rusev
Winner: Rusev

Good matchup Rusev really performed well. But the ending. OMG, that got damn RKO Outta Nowhere?! It was effing EPIC! A beautiful RKO, that lead to an attack by Aiden English, which lead to Bobby Roode saving the champ. Who will win at Wrestlemania? Its a toss up but more than likely Jinder will end up with the title I just have a feeling about this. However, Randy could keep it and end up with a decent rivalry in Bobby Roode.

Men's Division: 8 Man Tag Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley & Primo vs Breezango, Zack Ryder, & Ty Dillinger
Winner: Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley & Primo

Uh, I was not invested in this match. However, it did pick up toward the end. It was a preview of the participants in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal match. Hopefully, the Battle Royal will be worth watching.

Men's Division: Shinsuke Nakamura & Aj Styles vs Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura & Aj Styles

Again I was not invested in this match. It was ok. I'm not a fan of Benjamin and Gable right now. They bore me and honestly, I saw no reason put Nakamura and Styles in this kind of match. I think they should've had a confrontation absolutely but this was boring.

In OTHER News

Kevin and Sami CRASH SDLive

Uh, we all saw this coming. They had to formally accept the challenge besides just twitter. They said their peace and were escorted out but not before they insulted Daniel Bryan's family. But D. Bry and Shane made it clear that this was the last time they would see them on Smackdown Live. Interesting they said SDLive, not WWE. LMAO.

OVERALL

This clearly was not something you couldn't miss. It wasn't one of the shows that you were going to be like "Damn, I missed it? Well, it's on YouTube." Nope, it'll be more like I didn't miss nothing I can wait until Wrestlemania to see it play out. It was pretty dry. The only thing that was worthy of seeing was Kevin and Sami's crashing of SDLive.

The WWE botched the Shinsuke and Aj feud TREMENDOUSLY! THIS COULD'VE BEEN EPIC BUT NOW ITS AN AFTERTHOUGHT AND THAT IN ITSELF IS A PROBLEM. They put a lot of time and effort into Brock and Roman but that same time and effort should've been put into Nakamura and Styles. They have a budding feud that would be classic worthy if nurtured right. Instead, the only thing that will be great about this is the performance of these two men on the grandest stage of them all. They will outperform most of the roster and be one of the top matches of the night. Instant classic. But it could've been some much more with a little stoking from WWE Creative.

Anyway, that's all I got for you this week. We got a lot to cover in our predictions blog which is coming Friday Evening/Saturday morning.

So...Until Next Time Folks!
